Here is an e-mail Jon wrote to one of Sarah’s professors. We posted this just to give a view of the frustration that Christians can feel living in SF and interacting with the academic community. Please pray that this professor and the academia in general in San Francisco would give a fair hearing to the words of the Bible.
From our study in Galatians, here are some application questions that we came up with (well actually Matt came up with most of them):
Are we living in view of God’s promises for us?
Do we know what His promises are?
Are our action, thoughts, and words influenced by our knowledge of and hope in His promises?
Where are we substituting our own temporary or false hopes?
